Regular readers of this blog will know how much I love
creating blogs. I have an idea and without thinking, I press the ‘new blog’
button and voila! I have a brand new blog, somewhere new for me to post my
thoughts.
You will also remember the muddle I got myself into, a few
months ago, trying to post on too many blogs. I felt like running away from the
blogosphere and almost deleted them all. When I finally calmed down, I decided to combine
all my blogs into one - this one- Sue Elvis Writes.
So maybe you will be surprised to hear I have once again pressed
that very tempting ‘new blog’ button. (Or maybe you won’t be surprised!)
So why have I created another blog? Sometimes I have
homeschooling links or books or ideas I’d like to share but I don’t feel they fit in
here with all my stories, and… Perhaps you’d like to read my first post, A New Blogging Adventure, on my
new blog The Elvis Homeschool Journal to find out more…

Surprised? No, not really :) It seems to be in the family genes for all of you!
ReplyDeleteCreating blogs is definitely fun. My problem is keeping up with them!
Good luck with your new blog, Sue :)
Mary,
DeleteThank you!
Keeping up with all my blogs? I suppose that's why I created a lot of blogs in the first place. A different blog for each different audience. With only one blog perhaps only every third post is of interest to some people. I didn't want to make it even more complicated by throwing all the homeschooling bits and pieces in too. That would really turn this blog into a homeschooling blog and push the other stories into a corner. And I really want to write about more than just education.
So... I created the new blog which will probably only interest those readers who are looking out for new homeschooling ideas or recommended books etc.
Mary, I hope you will continue to share my stories here. Please don't feel you have to keep up with the new blog too.
God bless you!
As I've said to Vicky: Why is all the talent concentrated in Australia?
ReplyDeleteThat's 3 Blogs I know of that you write. This one, the new one and the Australian Families one. I have a hard time just keeping up with my one Blog and I often run out of things to say.
With your and your sister's Blog there's plenty of great reading for all of us.
Thank you. And God bless you both.
Victor,
DeleteShall I admit I have created 9 blogs, 8 of which are still floating around the blogosphere! I am also an author on a couple more. Yes, far too many blogs. "Why is all the talent concentrated in Australia?" Perhaps it's not talent but lack of common sense!
Unless anyone is interested in homeschooling, most of what I write can be found here on this blog. I like to contribute to the Australian Catholic Families blog too but that isn't 'my' blog as such, but a combined effort with lots of wonderful authors.
"plenty of great reading for all of us." Victor, you are kind. Maybe everyone else is thinking: "Oh no! More of Sue's writing to wade through." They may panic like I did and run away!
God bless.
Sue,
ReplyDeleteI guess a writer needs to keep creating new writing spaces. I wouldn't want to keep painting on the same piece of canvas so it does make sense. Anyway, you have some great ideas - I'm glad you're sharing them.
But, you didn't share the fun of choosing the name! Though, I guess we did get pretty silly, last time;-)
Vicky,
DeleteYes, we could have had a fun and silly afternoon emailing each other with possible blog names! I still remember all your cast-off blog names. But I was so eager to press that 'new blog' button and start writing, I made a quick decision about the name. Nothing exciting. Just exactly what it is. I guess Sue Elvis Writes isn't exactly exciting either! It's just what I do.
I am looking forward to sharing ideas with you. I hope you have subscribed!
I do understand, have a learning blog myself for the more nuts and bolts.

look forward to reading about what books you are enjoying:)
Erin,
DeleteIt is good to share. I always enjoy hearing about the latest books you are reading too. I think we discovered The Penderwicks via your blog. Could that be right?
I'm subscribing!
ReplyDeletePam,
DeleteYou're subscribing? Thank you! I am jumping up and down in excitement. Isn't it lovely when people support a new venture? I am looking forward to getting involved in your own new project, your new website. Did you see your button in my side-bar? Now my new blog is up and running, I will look for some of my posts to link up with your site.
God bless!
I'm on my way over right now to become a follower. : ) Looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteStephanie,
DeleteThank you! You are my one and only follower which makes you very special. You are very special anyway!
